Audience Member not a bad little watch ( I cried at the end) but very back and forth with times so a bit confusing for old people like me LOL. Rated 3/5 Stars •  Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Italy's bid for a good old-fashioned American romantic comedy makes a perfectly pleasant showing with "One Day More," Massimo Venier's enjoyable knock-off of classic Hollywood-style thwarted couplings. Based on a novel by thesp Fabio Volo, who plays the lead, the pic generates plenty of aw-shucks moments when a thirtysomething guy's-guy falls for a confirmed bachelorette being transferred to Gotham. Local biz continues to be strong three weeks into the run. Offshore traction on Euro screens eager for feel-good entertainment is possible, as is Euro remake potential. Stateside play depends on marketing strategies, though alert U.S. auds will question geographical slips. At the final moment, he is magically granted one more day with his departed mother, Posey Benetto, who illuminates the secrets of both their lives and shows him a way to redemption. If you had the chance to go back in time fix what you did wrong in life, would you do it? And if you did, would you be brave enough to stand it? Released on December 9, 2007, <i>Mitch Albom's For One More Day</i> was directed by Lloyd Kramer and based on the book of the same name. I found this movie recently and saw it as an interesting concept unique in the author's style of storytelling, carrying interesting elements like a typewriter that opens the story. It does have a moving drama tone for tackling the issue of divorce between parents who each had a way of raising their son. In a skillful performance made possible by Michael Imperioli his main character looked really depressing at the start but at least he wanted to show a good sign of redemption when he has seen his relationships fall apart, starting with a decision to choose either his mother or father. I recommend it to anyone interested in films - whether theatrical or, in this case, made for television - based on novels.
