Audience Member Red Letter Media's Oranges: Revenge of the Eggplants is a textbook example of a fledgling film company coming together to make something special. While I can't say that it's all apples and, well, oranges, I can say with some certainty that enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting a big lavish and slick-looking production. I was expecting an amateur film with some class and ingenuity, and this film certainly has both. It's a mediocre effort, and does tend to drag from time to time, but you can't deny how charming and simple it is. If you're a fan of Red Letter Media or you're thinking about getting into filmmaking, I highly recommend checking this one out. I especially recommend it if you're looking to get into stop-motion or animated filmmaking. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Mike Stoklasa, of Mr. Plinkett fame, directed this odd feature length puppet show involving a cast of fruits, mostly oranges. It is a strange little movie, but I think fans if RedLetterMedia's work might find this entertaining (I stress might if you only really enjoy the Plinkett stuff. I personally enjoy a good chunk of their output). Strange little movie, but I liked it, if for only spotting Stoklasa and Rich Evans voicework in every other character. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member What is this I don't even. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member The first feature film by independent studio Red Letter Media (You know, the Plinkett Reviews guys) seems like it would fall into the same category as those awful "thumb parodies" but it's actually a lot better thanks to a rather twisted sense of humor and a good amount of creativity on the part of the filmmakers. Oh yeah, this is a parody of action and horror movies and all the characters are fruits and vegetables on magic markers! If that sounds like your bag, give it a rent. And be sure to watch the making of featurette, it's almost as much fun as the actual movie! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Though this movie is kind of pointless and kind of racist (in a weird way) it is just very interesting and weird and its kind of fun to see fruits explode and get drunk and have racial issues just like real people. Its even sort of funny, I would recomend it to anyone who enjoys the art of B-movies. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Just awful. :D Highly recommend it.
