Loren C Aside from the corporate takeover, the romance between Devito and Miller is phenomenal! It's worth watching for that alone. 90s nostalgia, sparkling dialogue and even some tears. Very few films capture the sizzle of seduction with literally no sex. LOVE Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/16/24 Full Review Matt D No, Other People's Money is obviously not a masterpiece. But, seeing that OPM's overall score is 31%, I would say that this film is definitely underrated. It's not great, but it's not terrible either. If you're thinking about watching this film, disregard the overall rating. It's a good movie that's worth the watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review candy s Danny DeVito was an interesting choice for a lead, giving the seduction scenes a perverse "Beauty and the Beast" quality due to this, but I do think that makes it more interesting - and possibly more accurate - than had he been a George Clooney type. Some interesting lines, and some predictable Hollywood speeches. The script accurately reflects the tone and values of that era and echelon, which marked the real beginning of vulture capitalism. I remember the backdrop of rising competition from Japan, against which corporate raids were pitched as "sink or swim." The famous line "Drexel's gone under. Milken's in jail. Trump's waiting tables" takes on new layers of meaning in light of the last 8 years. I thought Penelope Ann Miller was winning in this role. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review Narciso R What a fantastic movie, characters seem real. Everything about this picture is fantastic including all the actors. NRJ. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review Blobbo X Love affiars make some best movies, but not buying one between Penny Ann Miller and Danny Devito. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/08/23 Full Review sergio v I don't understand all of the negative reviews! I think most people just don't GET IT. This is one of my favorite movies of all time, and one of the BEST scripts ever written. The story and characters are deep and multi-layered, and the writing is extremely witty and clever. Every action from both sides is smart, devious, and very well thought out. The speeches at the end are also brilliant. And as a bonus, Gregory Peck gives the best performance of his career. I make everyone watch this movie as a showcase piece of what a smart script really feels like. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
