Audience Member The movie is based on a true story of two boys growing up in the projects of Chicago. They get the opportunity to be reporters for NPR. They bring equipment with them to school and around the community to show what goes on in their daily lives. The documentaries they made were controversial and original. This movie gave an insightful look at the situation and the lack of future image the residents of the inner-city projects experience. One of the boys had no future and the other may have had a future, with help they both had a bright future. Anyone studying a career in Justice or Juvenile Justice should watch this. 3 Stars 7-23-13 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow... The book was just good, but the problem is the screenplay and the director. I felt many times that the screenwriter was too lazy, so either he copied the whole lines from the book, or skip some parts of it. There wasn't any catchy dilogues. The beginning wasn't even how the movie is supposed to go, those two boys were recommended, not auditioned.... I wish writer researched more and the director spend more time in this movie Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member the story touches me so deep...
