Critics Consensus

Lindsay Lohan and Ian Harding try their best to elevate a tired script, but Our Little Secret is too clumsy for its screwball antics to land.

Brooks Eisenbise Chicago Reader Under the shiny Netflix-feature-film-budget gift wrapping, you won’t find much in Our Little Secret to feel grateful for. Dec 11, 2024 Full Review John Nugent Empire Magazine A typically formulaic seasonal sugar rush that’s only blandly mediocre, rather than so-bad-it’s-good. But Lindsay Lohan’s romcom-dominance cannot be denied.   Rated: 2/5 Dec 10, 2024 Full Review Robert Levin Newsday It inspires no emotional investment, it has no interesting characters, offers zero chemistry between the stars and not the slightest bit of a reason to be anything but bored. Rated: 1/4 Dec 4, 2024 Full Review Juanma Fernández París El Nuevo Día (Puerto Rico) There are multiple opportunities to turn everyone on screen into a caricature, but [the]...direction and [the] script fight this off, relying entirely on the comedic chops and natural charisma of its lead actress. [Full review in Spanish] Jan 15, 2025 Full Review Lindsay Pugh Woman in Revolt Yet another terrible holiday Netflix movie, this time with the creepy teacher from "Pretty Little Liars." Dec 27, 2024 Full Review Steve Murray ArtsATL It’s not the screwiest of screwball comedy complications. Instead it’s lame, tame and dated. Dec 23, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Ed R Incredibly cheesy. Felt like a Hallmark movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/25 Full Review Reagan P A little to cheesy the charaters can barely be taken seriously but it has its good and funny moments. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/08/25 Full Review Audience Member The intro of the movie shows that the two main characters are deeply and hopelessly in love with each other. Past that point I do not ever see a sliver of this "inseparable, deep love" between these two actors and their characters. They're stiff, it's uncomfortable, and I don't want them in the same room together. If she were so deeply in love with him and they were so perfect together why would the first proposal scene be met with such visceral negativity. The male love interest is shown in the first couple minutes to be manipulative, blaming her for *his* drinking, for moving away to chase her dreams, vandalizes things and has a tantrum. It's not a movie for me, but I didn't go in with high hopes anyway. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/06/25 Full Review inta k your typical romantic comedy with some twists and laughs. easy watch Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/05/25 Full Review CT M Wow, this move was terrible. There's not enough plot to keep the viewer watching, so they had to trow in a series of clichés just to keep the movie going. Nothing good to say about this one. I've seen some stinkers, and this might have actually been top 5 worst ever! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/02/25 Full Review Julee G The trailer looked fun so I saved it to our Christmas movie watch list. I haven't seen a movie with Lohan in it for years so was looking forward to her come back story. Her acting was so bad I am not sure if she was always this bad or the facial fillers have frozen her face so much she can no longer act? The worst part was that the person she played would surely have been much, much younger? The ditzy comic act she played in years gone by does not work anymore for a woman of her age. The storyline totally predictable. The dialogue was bad. 'Oh it feels so Christmassy when it snows'. Seriously. Bad wigs, bad makeup and terrible fake tans just added to this flop.
