Synopsis
In 2001, Iranian president Mohammad Khatami runs for re-election. The first half of this documentary follows a group of young men and women as they campaign for the reform-minded Khatami. The second half focuses on Arezu Bayat, a twice-divorced single mother who decides to run for president herself. At the same time, Bayat struggles to find a new apartment for herself and her children, dealing with a prejudiced society whose property owners are reluctant to rent to a single woman.
