Neil G A fantastic family movie that will appeal to everyone who secretly wants to escape the modern world and fend for themselves. I watched this as a kid and am still enjoying it every Christmas into my 50's. Sadly I have never escaped the modern world... When back in the city, the radio broadcast gives a grim picture of urban life in its news headlines. 30 years later, we now know that acid rain is no longer a problem. Scattershot family comedy effort manages a few laughs and zany characters but not much more with children who add little but complaining to the proceedings. Starring husband/wife team of Richard Benjamin and Paula Prentiss, who also gave us the comparably weak SATURDAY THE 14TH.
