See more tarek a 03/30/2021 A lovely, charming movie about the helpless fate that still faces most women in the Indian subcontinent and many other parts of the world, where her identity exists solely due to her husband and she becomes a persona non grata after his death. Our brave heroine becomes a political and familial football so fast it makes the head spin. Her suppressed mourning and unfulfilled marriage adds an undertone of sadness to the movie. The message is beautiful of course, seize your destiny - forge your own path. But her immense sacrifice for her adopted family in the end makes her a true saint.
