David Jenkins Little White Lies Robert Stone's fascinating documentary makes a convincing case for a nuclear future. Rated: 4/5 Nov 14, 2013 Full Review Cath Clarke Time Out Like so many campaigning docs this is much more interested in throwing darts at the other guys than giving us a balanced film. Rated: 2/5 Nov 12, 2013 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian This documentary, from Robert Stone, sets out to think the unthinkable and ask the unaskable: should we learn to stop worrying and love nuclear energy? Rated: 3/5 Nov 7, 2013 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See It simply makes an argument that you're not used to hearing from that political persuasion. Rated: B Jul 8, 2020 Full Review Tom Watson CineVue In Pandora's Promise, Stone delivers some harsh home truths on the importance of nuclear power for our energy-drunk future. While it does make for uncomfortable viewing, the proof seems very much in the plutonium. Rated: 3/5 Mar 6, 2019 Full Review Alan Laidlaw The List Pandora's Promise gives up enough information to tease the curiosity of doubting individuals but unfortunately as a piece of subversive, cogent filmmaking - it's a box of empty promises. Audience Member Split DON'T EMIT. Doing MATH is tough for the Religion of Anti-Science , Anti Nuclear critics? They lie about FACTS and Math. Nuclear Power is the ONLY way humanity can DE-carbonize our energy on a LARGE Scale that is necessary to mitigate climate change Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Finally an honest representation of how to save the lives of millions. Robert Stone has some serious stones to take on the progressives that have taken over the environmental movement. The "I have mine, let the rest of the word starve and go without power" :-( Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent and bit gripping Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I consider this to be a "must see" landmark film exploring the most important issue we face today: obtaining clean sustainable energy; enough to make a difference in the need to drastically reduce our carbon emissions. This documentary made by a former anti-nuclear advocate; a person who has previously made anti-nuclear films. Following his learning experiences and those of other former anti-nuclear environmentals as they reflect on their personal quest for the truth when examining the evidence of Chernobyl, Fukushima and other events that have shaped societal concerns about this important subject, makes for a fascinating veiwing that held my attention throughtout the film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member The power of pragmatism and what it means when you can throw off the chains of dogma. We can save the climate while bringing people out of poverty. We have been pretending for too long that wind and solar are up to the task of providing energy for the world. It's time to embrace nuclear, the single safest and cleanest energy source in the world. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting and well made documentary providing what seems to be a rational pro argument for nuclear power. I think it's definitely a good addition to the conversations we need to be having about energy production in the world. But I also think it's a little too one-sided like many of the anti-coal, anti- fossil fuel, pro renewable resource docs. For me, my biggest concern is that we try to find a way to live and consume and produce energy that has no short term or long term negative effects, or extreme risks. I believe it's possible, if we prioritize it and focus on it. Nuclear might be one piece of the solution, but so is solar, wind, thermal, natural gas, and other ideas we maybe don't even know about yet.
