Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times As taut as a suspension bridge cable, Particles of Truth, a notably assured and ambitious first film, builds tension as it involves us deeper and deeper in Lilli's destiny. Feb 10, 2020 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter While the film demonstrates some potential on the part of its filmmaker, especially in the acting department, it ultimately lacks the singularity to make it stand out among the glut of similarly themed entries. Nov 4, 2004 Full Review Ronnie Scheib Variety This pretentiously titled, zero-budget N.Y. indie airily pulls off what Hollywood mightily strives for -- a believable romantic comedy. Sep 21, 2004 Full Review Christopher Null Filmcritic.com Rated: 2/5 Apr 8, 2006 Full Review Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice A complicated drama that explores the efforts of two oddballs to escape the limitations of their birth families and forge distinctive lives of their own. Rated: 2/5 Sep 18, 2004 Full Review Joshua Tanzer Offoffoff Particles of Truth is a low-budget indie that first seems scattered and off-putting but in time reveals its writer-director's considerable ability and artistic sense. Audience Member good movie, its not action packed or anything like that, but watching it goes pretty fast and the ending/meaning in the movie is good. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Lilli is an artist who meets Morrison, an author. Both have family issues and Lilli thanks to her upbringing has trust and love issues. Her parents were both drug users and thanks to that her father is dying of AIDS. Morrison's parents are rich, his mother has recently foudn out she has breast caner but hasn't told anyone yet. His father lost his job a few months ago because his company felt he was too old. Have I mentioned that Morrison is also a germaphobic? But through his relationship with Lilli he begins to overcome his fear of germs and through Morrison, Lilli begins to believe in love again. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Gale Harold is just fantastic. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Particles of Truth is very nearly a masterpeice of art in itself. This story of life, art and dysfunction winds together into a brilliantly thought out magnification of everyones fears, pain and insecurities. The film closes in on exactly each visual image needed to bring the point home. I am shocked that anyone who calls themselves an appreciator of art and film would rate this film as pretentious or unfulfilling in its message. I truly believe that those who didnt absolutely love this film have no eyes from which to see this particular peice of art. Jennifer Elster brilliantly brought the art of the human psyche onto the screen and expressed it perfectly. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I watched this movie last night. It reminds me a lot of the script I wrote for my screenwriting class.
