Audience Member Subcultural drama that looks a little light and dated by modern standards, although is solid enough. I'd have preferred to see the uncut version, although that probably doesn't exist anymore. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Classic swinging 60s which deals with controversial issues. Oliver reed gives another brooding superb performance. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Oliver Reed started with these type films in the sixties. Far different film making in those days than now. Enjoy this retro look into yesteryear. Her involvement leads to wild parties, sex, death and necrophilia. But wild and drunken partying has terrible consequences, and when Melina's fiancee Carson (Clifford David) begins investigating, the shocking truth is revealed. The Party's Over is a British film directed by Guy Hamilton. Although filmed in 1963 it had major censorship problems in the UK which delayed its release for almost a year. It was released in 1965 and produced by Anthony Perry with music by John Barry. Unusually for a British production of this vintage (1963) it doesn't fit easily in any genre. An American girl who has been hanging around with the 'beats' goes missing amid lurid rumours of rape and even necrophilia."---by Bribaba (United Kingdom) Oliver Reed as Moise Clifford David as Carson Ann Lynn as Libby Katherine Woodville as Nina Louise Sorel as Melina Mike Pratt as Geronimo Maurice Browning as Tutzi Jonathan Burn as Phillip Roddy Maude-Roxby as Hector Annette Robertson as Fran Alison Seebohm as Ada Barbara Lott as Almoner Eddie Albert as Ben Oliver Reed much younger than his Gladiator year Country: UK Language: English Release Date: 23 March 1966 (USA) Runtime: 94 min Sound Mix: Mono (Westrex Recording System) Color: Black and White Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
