Perry Stewart Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com The film's original title was "Fat Chance," which should have furnished the producers warning enough of its flop potential. Aug 6, 2021 Full Review Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times To put it bluntly, "Peeper" is a nothing picture. Aug 6, 2021 Full Review Variety Staff Variety Peeper is flimsy whimsy. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Bill Cosford Miami Herald "Peeper" is one of the funniest of the year. Aug 6, 2021 Full Review Stanley Eichelbaum San Francisco Examiner The... fun is rather limited, mainly because W.D. Richter's script is too pedestrian to allow for bristling, or even sparkling comedy. Aug 6, 2021 Full Review Lisa Tuttle Austin American-Statesman "Peeper" maybe doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it is a whole lot of fun from the unusual opening credits to the loose-ends finish. Steve D A lot of fun with a great cast. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/24 Full Review Ashley H Peeper is a decent film. It is about a private eye who is on a case to find the long lost daughter of a shady client. Michael Caine and Natalie Woods give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Peter Hyams did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the humor and mystery. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie is ridiculous. Like an episode of a bad tv procedural. But Michael is always good, and Natalie looked just great. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Slight but enjoyable noir parody with charming performances and great period details. Thayer David was such a great character actor for the role of repugnant villain. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Michael Caine plays a private eye (aka Peeper) who stumbles upon an investigation that deals with a woman who unknown to her has inherited a great deal of money. Unfortunately, there seems to be a group of people out to kill him before he can find her. A lighthearted comedy that is passable entertainment, but not memorable. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Michael Caine is good, as always and he tries his best, but he can't quite save this madcap caper. It occasionally is funny, but is too chaotic to be very focused. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
