      Audience Member ★★1/2 (out of four) I must first say that I absolutely love the film "The Last Picture Show". It is one of my favorite movies from the 1970's and amongst my favorite ever made. For that alone the documentary is worth seeing. It gives us a glimpse into the making of that classic, while promoting the sequel "Texasville". There is some old footage and some new interviews with cast members and crew from "The Last Picture Show", as well as thoughts from many townfold of Archer City, Texas, the town Larry McMurtry used as inspiration for his book. Some of the interviews are interesting and reveal things like the difficulties of working with Timothy Bottoms on the set. But, for the most part the documentary does not reveal too much. It seems just a way to promote the new film.
