Crocodilo Russo de Combate Amazing script, beautiful photografy. is one of the best latin movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/30/22 Full Review dustin d Eye candy in a rustic setting. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review guillaume h That rare movie made of talk with not an ounce of tediousness, propulsive by the force of its intelligence and non judgmental sensitivity. Courageous and bold storytelling. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review pierluigi p A group of losers end up discussing the facts of life in a small argentinian town, how their hopes disappear as time goes by, and the moment they decided that worthless piece of land became their place in the world, the one place you will never leave, or if you do, still you are going to come back again someday. Touching coming of age drama made with the archetypes of a western. All the actors are wonderful, and the dialogue is very rich and lingers in your mind long after the credits have rolled. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A very good and interesting film to watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A memorable, yet probably a bit forgotten film from the 90's that perhaps reaches deep into the soul of what it is to be from Argentina. The film has a very well crafted screenplay which on one hand works unfolding the general storyline and on the other hand, intelligently depicts political, social and historical picture of this great proud South American nation. The film also at times has a bit of feel of Sergio Leone flick, especially "Once Upon a Time in America" and this is no wonder as Adolfo Aristarain assisted the Italian great in one of his films. Cecilia Roth acting is outstanding here, as is of few of the other actors. I think this film should be shown to anyone interested in Argentine culture - it simply would be a great introduction.
