      Reviews Disgusted with the influence of racketeer Jim Curango (John Miljan) in their small town, music teacher Ivy Higgins (Polly Moran) decides to run for mayor. After the death of a young woman, Myrtle (Karen Morley), Ivy discovers that the killer intended to murder Myrtle's boyfriend. Ivy then enlists Myrtle's mother, Hattie (Marie Dressler), in her cause.
