I thought it was funny and sweet. I would have liked to see a Pottersville 2 with a new Christmas adventure. The actors were perfect for their rolls. Michael Shannon was a great choice and I already love Judy Greer and Ian McShane.

Professional critics are corporate hack losers who wouldn't know an original idea if it sat on their faces. If you want an interesting premise for a small town dark comedy, a star studded cast whose talents are well utilized, and what is ultimately a heart warming tale of a good man just trying to help his town in the most absurd way possible, than this movie is for you.
