Marcia Davis Washington Post The history of the Mason is the real star of Proud. If you go expecting only that, then you won't be disappointed. And at times you may find yourself moved. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty good for a history movie...not normally my favorite genre. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member (** 1/2): Interesting story but the direction and acting is just too amateurish (Davis is great, though). I also wish the filmmakers centered more on the people and events themselves instead of the racism issues. A near-miss for me. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It does mean well, this in an old fashioned flag raiser that lacks good direction and the acting could be better. It's a good story, just not given a very convincing treatment. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
