Critics Consensus

Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich delivers all the proudly distasteful B-movie antics genre fans might expect from a film about murderous Nazi dolls.

A reasonably competent, mildly amusing monster mash. Go to Full Review

Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich brings puppet carnage and mayhem to insane new heights, unafraid to break every single taboo along their quest to fulfill their Fuhrer's bidding. Go to Full Review
Andrew Whalen Newsweek 08/20/2018
The Littlest Reich is not just a clockwork puppet slasher, but a gleeful gore movie situated somewhere between Peter Jackson's Dead Alive and Troma. Go to Full Review

Easily the most polished series production & a lot of fun. Still, thumbing its nose at the larger franchise would've played better in its dregs rather than in between the appropriately kitschy "Puppet Master: Axis Termination" and "Blade: The Iron Cross." Go to Full Review

It is completely inappropriate, and that’s what makes it fun. Nazi puppets who are bent on killing Jews, blacks and homosexuals are the antagonists who provide extremely creative and gory deaths to anyone who gets in their way. Go to Full Review

A film so deliciously silly and outrageously inappropriate that it's impossible not to be carried along by its madness. Go to Full Review

Richard L Sep 5 Brilliant concept, poor execution, especially in the script department. The kills are great, but the limited range of the puppets makes for a tedious and repetitive hour and a half. See more Jean R Jun 2 Its a movie you just watch for kills See more g j 10/10/2024 Paradoxically this is far better than it has any right to be. It is quite slickly shot and well-paced with quite expensive looking practical effects. Even more surprisingly, it has LIKEABLE protagonists, decent dialogue and passable humour to boot. Really very solidly above average in every respect. See more 01/26/2022 I guess I get why this got a poor viewer rating, but the critic rating is a more accurate score for this film in my opinion. The subject matter is offensive, and thats obviously the point. I think that there are plenty of tasteless films out there that try to build on the same concept, but have no redeeming qualities. The low blows are a big part of what makes this a worthwhile watch. Technically, its beautiful. The puppetry and practical effects are great. The acting is bad at times, but it seems intentional so that you don't forget what you are watching. I don't think I am alone when I say that I am really sick of overdone computer generated effects that fail to elevate the film and often become the main focus. Here, we have an abundance of carnage, done the good old fashioned way. You might not be into splatter-fests, and I understand if the plot is too distasteful, but when it comes down to it, this is a really well rounded extreme horror comedy that delivers all it promises and more. You will probably know if this isn't for you by reading the title. See more R P 01/12/2022 Every once in a while you come across a movie that may surprise you. Right now, that movie for me is Puppet Master Littlest Reich. I went into this movie expecting, well, I went in with no expectations of enjoying it. But, it was decent. To the point I'm kind of excited for more Puppet Master movies.
