The subject matter is offensive, and thats obviously the point. I think that there are plenty of tasteless films out there that try to build on the same concept, but have no redeeming qualities. The low blows are a big part of what makes this a worthwhile watch. Technically, its beautiful. The puppetry and practical effects are great. The acting is bad at times, but it seems intentional so that you don't forget what you are watching. I don't think I am alone when I say that I am really sick of overdone computer generated effects that fail to elevate the film and often become the main focus. Here, we have an abundance of carnage, done the good old fashioned way. You might not be into splatter-fests, and I understand if the plot is too distasteful, but when it comes down to it, this is a really well rounded extreme horror comedy that delivers all it promises and more. Right now, that movie for me is Puppet Master Littlest Reich. I went into this movie expecting, well, I went in with no expectations of enjoying it. But, it was decent. To the point I'm kind of excited for more Puppet Master movies.
