Audience Member Better in theory than acted out. It couldn't keep me awake. I didn't like that Susie Essman's character seemed so diluted compared to her usual personality. However, Melanie Lynskey stood out as her usual adorable self. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A small, NYC-based indie film about good Jewish boy Walter (Jack Carpenter - Sydney White) who works at the family bagel and lox business with his Uncle Sid (John Pankow - The Secret of My Success). Walter dreams of taking over the family business but doesn't seem to understand that in order for him to do that he'll have to venture out into a world he is distressingly afraid of (he hasn't left his own, small neighborhood his entire life). When both him and his (married) uncle fall for a new customer (Melanie Lynskey - Up in the Air), their lives are forever changed as Sid could lose the business in a nasty divorce which would leave Walter with nothing but a knowledge of bagels and lox. The film has some charm to it but little else as none of the characters are believably fleshed out. It aims for quirky, little indie ... and that is what it gives its audience although there were moments I was hoping for more. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this film at the Beloit International Film Festival, where it won the People's Choice Award, and really enjoyed this little independent romantic comedy. For an independent film it has a few recognizable actors and a solid soundtrack. The film had a good story and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Overall I liked this film and I always like checking out a film or two at the Beloit Film Festival. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Good film! I laughed so hard when the delivery guy hopped in the deli case! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Sports an unconventional setting for a formulaic extramarital carousing, but it wraps up assuredly and winningly. Rated: 4/10 Dec 4, 2020 Full Review Amie Simon Three Imaginary Girls ... an adorable romantic comedy with adorable leads set in an adorable part of New York, and yes, even Director Jason Chaet is adorable (and very, very funny). Mar 2, 2019 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation An ethnic comedy of thin charms but a very nice sense of place -- Manhattan's Upper West Side. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 28, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews
