Synopsis
Created during World War II, the U.S. Armed Forces Network was a radio station that allowed American servicemen to listen to popular songs, news and entertainment from back home while stationed overseas. In addition to its intended audience, however, the AFN also gained a great number of German listeners, thus shaping the international perception of Americans. This German documentary explores the AFN and its impact on war as well as international relations.
