Ananth Mahadevan's new film, based on a true incident, could have been an interesting, if not entirely novel, look at the proliferating conflict zones over-run by opposing forces if he had kept Bollywood-style artifice out of it. Go to Full Review

The film, much of it set in a rebel camp in Andhra Pradesh, seems torn between two storytelling modes: episodic with a documentary flavor and action-driven pulp. It makes a hash of both. Go to Full Review

Even charismatic star Suniel Shetty can't generate interest or excitement in this earnest drama of India's internal conflict with the Maoist "Naxalite" movement. Go to Full Review

10/27/2012 A good movie dealing with the serious issue of the Naxalites in INDIA! See more 02/24/2011 Very interesting film well written and worth the watch See more 01/26/2011 Though he turns in an earnest performance, Suniel Shetty is just not built to play a poor farmer. The movie starts off okay, but then peters out - first into predictable territory and then towards the end into a farce. It raises some important questions but offers no answers. One of the most awkward of those questions is - 'What was Naseeruddin Shah doing in this movie?' See more 01/10/2011 a powerful insight into the lives of the guerilla..nice performances however the treatment kind lacked....wondering if it was a docu-drama or a bollywood movie. See more 08/29/2010 Drama, Harsh reality, a bit boring! - About a harsh reality of (Nexal Movement) how Farmers (land) have been getting exploited by their local Landlords (& have to Fight for Food, Education, & Land)! - Moral: Sometimes Educated learn from Uneducated (Violence is never an answer)! See more 08/15/2010 This is a very well made movue. This has to be one of the best performances by Suniel Shetty. I was imprssed by sameera reddy also. Nseeruddin shah in a very very brief role was awsome. Vinod khanna was just ok. the supporting cast was great. The story line was great and did not drag even for a second. Really liekd the movie and am sure this movie wont be liked by everyone as it doenst have ANY masala.... overall a well made movie. See more Read all reviews
