Howard H Almost gave up on but glad saw it through for finalle. British gangster film that overreached at best. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Audience Member Protestant Boondock Saint(s) or more like protestant IRA King of Nothing? The movie misses a vigilante theme for a boondocks saintesque movie. It's also depends less on imagery, which would make it more protestant. The movie does not really get behind the politicial motives. Good watch but the violence is tame. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent crime-drama, set in Northern Ireland in the 1970s. Quite edgy and gritty. Plot is unfocused though and doesn't really go anywhere, or make a point. Good performances from Stuart Townsend and John Hannah. James Nesbitt is a bit irritating in his role, as he generally is. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe it was because of the heavy Irish accent. Maybe the film turned out to be more about gangsters than IRA. Maybe the film was mainly targeted at Irish or British audiences. I find it rather raw, obscure & uninteresting. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a cool movie, but I was expecting something more psychological. Stuart Townsend is awesome! He looks like a real psycho, great crazy eyes! (and hot!) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member An absolutely dreadful film that only harps the twisted logic that Protestants of Northern Ireland killed Catholics for fun and does not involve the true facts of the conflict between both sides. In reality both sides suffered in what was a civil war. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
