I've had a very long couple weeks, and one evening I was just drained in every conceivable way and needed an hour or two of mindlessness. And then I saw this movie come up on the DirecTV guide, and the movie gods led me to click on it. I'm a fan of the original but never saw parts II or III. It didn't matter. For 90 minutes or so, it kept me occupied without making me think, and for that I will always be grateful. I'm not going to spend any time justifying this response or singing its praises. It's what I needed at the time, and sometimes that's enough. Long live the nerds!

The final movie in the Revenge of the Nerds series has a major made-for-TV vibe (because it was, in fact, made for television), and has little to do with the films that came before aside from the characters. The story is dumb and the jokes are old. Miss this one.

I couldn't make it through 20 minutes of this even when it originally came on TV. How pathetic 20th Century Fox must have been to try and make a franchise out of raunchy teen sex comedies. Just a thought "we've got bush" never works out when watered down for television.
