Noel Murray Los Angeles Times Ultimately, "Ride" feels a little like a drama class exercise, with the leads digging deep into their characters' motivations and feelings. All three nail their parts. But their story never gets out of first gear. Oct 4, 2018 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety Competently crafted enough to work well as a résumé-builder for its participants, but also underwhelmingly conceived enough to impress viewers as little more than a forgettable time-killer. Oct 4, 2018 Full Review Stephen Farber The Hollywood Reporter Tapping cleverly into one of the newest perils in urban living, Ride will please most audiences looking for a Friday night thrill ride. Oct 1, 2018 Full Review Dolores Quintana Dolores Quintana It is a serviceable movie with serviceable performances and while I believe both of the romantic leads turned in likable performances, I can’t really say that I was thrilled at any point. Dec 28, 2022 Full Review Tom Bedford Film Inquiry It isn't exactly a revolution in filmmaking, but it's entertaining enough over the course of its brief runtime to not wear out. At times it's funny, at others it's tense, and throughout it shines bright with a passion for the city of Los Angeles. Nov 5, 2018 Full Review Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness ...Ride is a good time. The characters are smart, the script is tight, and nothing about either is dumbed down for the audience. Shachar S Ride (2018), starring Bella Thorne, Jessie T. Usher, and Will Brill, is a thriller that takes viewers on a wild journey through the streets of Los Angeles. While the film has its share of issues, such as a somewhat predictable plot and occasional pacing problems, it manages to shine through its well-crafted characters and engaging performances. Bella Thorne delivers a compelling performance as Jessica, bringing depth and nuance to her character. Jessie T. Usher and Will Brill also stand out, with Brill’s portrayal of the manipulative Bruno adding a layer of tension and unpredictability to the story12. The chemistry between the actors helps to elevate the film, making the interactions feel genuine and engaging. The cinematography captures the vibrant and chaotic essence of LA, adding to the film’s immersive experience. The scenes are well-written, with moments of suspense and drama that keep the audience on the edge of their seats3. Despite its flaws, Ride offers an entertaining and thrilling experience, making it worth a watch for fans of the genre. So, press play and buckle up for a crazy ride through LA! 🎬🚗💥 1: Rotten Tomatoes 2: IMDb 3: Culture Crypt Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/22/24 Full Review Audience Member AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretentious, predictable and stupid, this movie have a bad plot, bad acting and a forced Bella Thorn song.
