Rookie lawman Ben Barber (Kevin Hart) aspires to become a detective like James Payton (Ice Cube), his future brother-in-law. James reluctantly takes Ben to Miami to follow up on a lead that's connected to a drug ring. The case brings them to a homicide detective and a computer hacker who reveals evidence that implicates a respected businessman. It's now up to James and Ben to prove that charismatic executive Antonio Pope is actually a violent crime lord who rules southern Florida's drug trade.

What it does do - is allow you to park your brain in neutral for 100 minutes, laugh at some silly jokes... and then walk out of theatre and immediately forget it ever happened. And there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's kind of refreshing.

It took me 10 years to watch this sequel and it didn't disappoint at all. Cube and Hart are a great comedy duo. Gibson was wasted but Olivia is gorgeous and funny. The fact that they take this to Miami for most of the movie is even better. Jeong was good as well. James and cruz at the wedding together is magical. Absolutely loved the sequel but there were a few predictable moments. I can't wait for a possible 3rd movie. Tim Treakle

A slapstick and horribly written movie, Ride Along 2 does not meet the standards for a sequel that it should. In addition to the film’s atrocious storyline, Kevin Hart plays a terrible role in this movie, continuing to be as pathetic as he was in the first movie, along with Ken Jeong who makes the film worse with his overly eccentric character. The script was not well executed, it was not well written, and it, like the mighty Titanic, was doomed for failure. In conclusion, this movie deserves the low ratings that it has, and I do not recommend this for any person.

I think it's a very good movie to watch. I recommend it because it's very funny and has an excellent police plot and humor. Highly recommended I also like that you don't have to watch the first movie to understand it. Juan Mosucha
