Television personality turned actress Olivia Munn was the object of many a video gamer's fantasy. As co-host of the quirky tech series "Attack of the Show!" (G4 Media, 2005- ), Munn injected a much-needed dose of sex appeal in an otherwise geeky show that featured reviews of games, viral videos, gadgets, and the latest in pop culture. Her looks, comedy chops and intelligence quickly made her a fan favorite in a variety of genres. Olivia Munn was born on July 3, 1980 in Oklahoma. Her mother, Kim, was of Chinese descent while her father, Sam, was German-Irish. Munn grew up in Tokyo, Japan. As a teen, she appeared in various local theater productions and tried incessantly to convince her mother to move to California so she could pursue acting as a career. In 2004, Munn moved to Los Angeles and began landing various commercial and print work. In 2006, she became a series regular on the drama "Beyond the Break," playing a tough-as-nails teen surfer; a role that came naturally to Munn, who practiced the sport in real life. Munn's feature film debut arrived in the form of a nurse in the comedy "Big Stan" (2007) starring Rob Schneider. In 2006, Munn started co-hosting the series "Attack of the Show!," where she reviewed video games, gadgets, the most popular viral videos, and movies. Munn's career kicked into high gear in 2010 with a featured role in the big-budgeted action adventure flick, "Iron Man 2." After a stint as a correspondent on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" (Comedy Central 1999-2015) and a starring role in ensemble sitcom "Perfect Couples" (NBC 2010-11), Munn next starred in the comedy "Freeloaders" (2012) and appeared in romantic ensemble comedy "I Don't Know How She Does It" (2011) and Steven Soderbergh's hit "Magic Mike" (2012). White co-starring on "The Newsroom" (HBO 2012-14), Munn co-starred with Paul Schneider in the comedy "The Babymakers" (2012) and in horror hit "Deliver Us From Evil" (2014). Supporting roles in notorious Johnny Depp flop "Mortdecai" (2015) and Kevin Hart action comedy sequel "Ride Along 2" (2016) were followed by a key role in "X-Men: Apocalypse" (2016). After costarring in comedy "Office Christmas Party" (2016), Munn was cast in "Ocean's 8" (2018), a female-driven prequel to Soderbergh's "Ocean's 11" (2001) trilogy.
