This musical revolves around Ann Castle (Dorothy Lamour), a beautiful burlesque showgirl, who takes a job performing at a ranch to raise money for her father's silver mine. Handsome engineer Steve Baird (Dick Powell), her father's partner, is struggling to locate potential investors for the mine. Ann rejects Baird's advances, the investors remain elusive and all seems lost for the engineer until he encounters Mortimer J. Slocum (Victor Moore), a wily con man, who produces counterfeit money.
