I've never heard an adult say, "I must go see that film. It has Jesse Eisenberg's voice in it." They could have spent the money on something else, like a better story. Go to Full Review

Rio is a brightly-colored, dizzying pinwheel of 3D animation in which nothing much happens. Sounds like summer is here early. Go to Full Review

This is a children’s film through and through, with lots of pretty colors and butt jokes to entertain the 4-to-8-year-old range. Go to Full Review

dary K @RT06324960 19h When you look back at the landscape of 2010s animation, few franchises possess the sheer kinetic energy and sensory saturation of Blue Sky Studios' Rio. To give this series a 4.5-star rating isn't just a nod to its technical achievement; it’s a recognition of how these films managed to bottle the lightning of Brazilian culture and transform it into a universal story about identity and survival. From the first beat of the drum in the 2011 original to the sprawling green canvas of the 2014 sequel, the Rio movies remain a masterclass in world-building, rhythm, and visual storytelling. See more Benjamin W. @Code70 Mar 15 Rio is a solid but straightforward and unremarkable animated flick. Its main protagonist is likable, it’s filled with colorful characters and has a decent villain, but everything just feels kinda insistently unspecial. It really is a solid time, though.
