Audience Member Entertaining gangster flick .ultra violent well made good cast Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review charlie l Never was going to be an Oscar-winner, it still features some terrific action sequences. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review r 9 Weakest of the first three. 'Rise of the Footsoldier 3' doesn't work. It's one that is all about Pat Tate and fills in the blanks of that character's history. In my opinion, it's flat throughout. There's a few decent scenes, but they are too far apart to have any effect. This plot would've been better as a short story, or as part of an anthology film. There's not enough there for a full blown film. Craig Fairbrass is OK in the lead role, not good or bad. I do appreciate the returns of the likes of Terry Stone and Roland Manookian, while the addition of Jamie Foreman is alright. There's a few interesting minor appearances, including from Larry Lamb, Shaun Ryder and Paddy Doherty. However, all in all, I found myself bored pretty much from beginning to end. It's a slow 99 minutes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a prime example of producers wanting to milk the story of Pat Tate and Tony Tucker (The Essex Boys) Honestly 50-year-old actor's playing 30-year-old men. The guy that plays Graig Rolfe has aged so much he has to wear a wig to play the character. Considering the producers of this dire movie have completely dissociated themselves with the original writer Carlton Leach. I can only assume they intend to milk this story for everything. With number 4 ready for release and number 5 in the initial planning stage I can foresee that they will end up in space. Rise of the Footsoldier 6 in Space! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Excessively violent, with gratuitous sex scenes and profanity aplenty. Part 3 continues in the same nasty/fun style shifting very briefly into a properly serious gear for the obligatory Rettendon Range Rover news report scenes. Hear there's a possibility of a fourth part which would almost definitely be taking it too far, although I would certainly watch it - love this film series! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/12/18 Full Review Audience Member Pretty good Prequel telling the rise of Pat Tate before the events of the first Rise of the Footsoldier, The story is your typical London gangsta plot, Lots of drugs, Sex and violence, I did enjoy the story and I like that yet again they got the original cast back involved, Craig Fairbrass was brilliant in this film as he fit back into the role as Pat Tate with ease, It's on par with the first and better than the second. Leslie Felperin Guardian Derivative and tedious, unless you really like lots of macho twerps beating and cutting each other, endless shots of drugs being snorted and swallowed, and swearing, unimaginatively, with every other word. Rated: 2/5 Nov 3, 2017 Full Review David Aldridge Radio Times This notorious British gangster tale may have been milked more often than a herd of prize Guernseys, but the shooting to death of three top drug dealers down a remote country lane still attracts film-makers like a cowpat does flies. Rated: 2/5 Dec 21, 2017 Full Review Paul M. Bradshaw Total Film Fans will enjoy 90 minutes of neckless spray-tans hitting each other with hammers (this time with an '80s soundtrack and a Shaun Ryder cameo), but most people have better things to do.
