John W A nice little watch. This is a small budget film but with good visual effects that are not too over the top. This is a indie film so do not expect a big hollywood over the top affair. The storyline is a little thin in places but overall considering this is small budget it has great locations and good effects. I would recommend if you are a sci fi fan. Oh and there is a twist at the end. It is subtle but works. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Mary W Overall I enjoyed this film. Not a bad effort for an extremely low budget film. The vfx are great quality considering it was done by a team of two. I feel they made the best out of what they had. The plot is a bit slow but stick with it for the twists. Great locations For sci fi fans really. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Monsol E I'm honestly not sure on this. It's certainly not amazing, but I've seen much worse. It had a nice sense of tension, but was dragged out a just bit too much. There isn't much dialogue, which I appreciated, as the movie didn't feel a need to hold a dumb viewers hand, letting you determine stuff from clues. It telegraphed a twist early on, but it quickly became obvious it wouldn't be the only one, which got me exited!....only to turn out that it...kinda was the only twist after all...They could have taken it further than they did. I kept getting frustrated at the captain, thinking "make a report about this new information already!" but he was much more interested in getting home, which I get, but it was unprofessional for a space explorer. I did like that he became fond of the "Dog", but I was annoyed by how many naps he kept taking, and how he gave up on a rescue after like...a day. Effects are limited, but are objectively alright. The robots are clunkers. [that don't look a thing like the one on the poster], So, again, I don't know if this is a decent movie, but it does remind me of some good indie sci-fi games I've played. It's not too long, and despite what I assume to be a low budget, some effort was put into it. So I guess what I'm saying is, if you like indie-ish sci-fi, this is that. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/23 Full Review tim r The film isn't bad its just disappointing it's very slow going, not enough happening, film is called robot world you finally see a robot at the 36min mark. The poster/cover is deceiving - that robot is not in this film. In fact its only 1 actor in this film and he is probably the brother of the writer/directer as they share the same surname. The budget was probably spent of the robots (which could have been rented from robot facility) or cgi (hard to tell), comes across as a student film, has some nice handheld camera shots but with very little story-line, dialogue and plot, your probably not going to get that hr and 22mins back. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/06/23 Full Review Audience Member 1 hour 19 minutes waste my time and I can never get that back. This movie made no sense at all. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Slow paced and boring. A perfect cure for insomnia. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
