Ten years after their high school graduation, Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Lisa Kudrow) haven't exactly accomplished everything that they set out to do. Despite their strong friendship, their personal and professional lives are still lacking. When they hear of their upcoming high school reunion, they take it as an opportunity to show their classmates how much they've changed -- first by trying to reform themselves, then by creating a lie that eventually spins out of control.

Enjoying Romy and Michele's High School Reunion requires several intersectional caveats - but unfortunately, we could say the same for most films being made today. What the film does offer, albeit hesitatingly, is a love story between two women.

Call it Bill and Ted with attitude, or a toothless Clueless: either way, the film uses up its best lines in the first 40 minutes, and only comes to life whenever the splendidly grouchy Janeane Garofalo is on screen.

Who on earth are the Romy and Michele haters? This movie is brilliant. The "I invented Post-it Notes" gag alone is worth the price of admission. The soundtrack kicks ass.

As a person who saw this movie today for the very first time I gotta say that it wasn’t that good. I thought it will be a lot funnier… It has some funny scenes but overall I’m quite disappointed. The writing and dialogues were plain boring. For some this movie may be a nostalgia, something they wanna come back to, but since I never saw it for me it was dumb.
