Kristen Lopez The Film Maven Roofman succeeds on Channing Tatum's charm which covers up for a pretty thin script. Cianfrance tells another story about personal choice that, unlike his past work, does feel lighter and more hopeful. Rated: C Sep 29, 2025 Full Review Sophie Butcher Empire Magazine Derek Cianfrance delivers a hugely empathetic, very entertaining depiction of an extraordinary life, featuring one of Channing Tatum’s best performances. Expect laughs, tears, and noughties nostalgia. Rated: 4/5 Sep 24, 2025 Full Review Thelma Adams AARP Movies for Grownups An incredibly tender love story develops at the heart of this American true-crime caper. Rated: 5/5 Sep 16, 2025 Full Review Ariel Kras Discussing Film Channing Tatum excels in capturing the dual hilarity and tragedy of real-life thief Jeffrey Manchester, delivering the most poignant performance of his career. Don't underestimate Roofman as just another true crime comedy; this is much more unique. Rated: 4/5 Sep 30, 2025 Full Review Joonatan Itkonen Toisto.net It's just frustrating that even at the end, where the film reveals just how much of the story actually happened, it never feels like it's taking any of this seriously. Rated: 2/5 Sep 30, 2025 Full Review Nagier Chambers Big Gold Belt Media Channing Tatum delivers one of his most natural and charismatic performances in a true-crime story that’s both absurdly funny and heartbreakingly human.
