Pauline Kael New Yorker the director, Stuart Millar, can't seem to find a discreet enough distance for the camera. Oct 19, 2023 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times The whole movie seems so contrived, so obviously a vehicle for its stars and for their former, happier roles, that finally we just get depressed. Talent shouldn't be thrown around like this. Rated: 1/4 Oct 23, 2004 Full Review David Sterritt Christian Science Monitor Universal Pictures has taken two of the great old American stars, turned them loose in the Wild West, and come up a genuine old-fashioned horse opera. Aug 7, 2021 Full Review Ruth Batchelor Los Angeles Free Press Wayne gives it what he can, and so does Hepburn, but there's just too much going against them. Nov 22, 2019 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com For those on the hunt for something agreeable, feature two acting legends, there are worse ways to spend 108 minutes. After all it's not every day one gets to see Katharine Hepburn man a Gatling gun. Rated: B- Apr 20, 2014 Full Review Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy A sort of controlled experiment in what happens when two completely incompatible movie stars occupy the same physical space. Rated: 6/10 Sep 14, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

steve a I do not agree with film critics, this is a very good film wayne and Hepburn are wonderful together shame it's there on film together. Richard Jordan another wonderful actor was great as the bad guy, sometimes just enjoy they definitely don't make great westerns much anymore. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/24 Full Review Brian B A great western film. One of the best. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/16/23 Full Review Daniel P Driven by the chemistry and sheer magnitude of their presence, this sequel to True Grit, never fails to entertain. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member I like it better then True Grit, more so due to Katherine and John's interaction! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Liam D It's not the disastrous sequel that most critics say but as a western starring some of the greatest actors ever it's decent Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/22 Full Review steve d Fun will be had but a romantic comedy doesn't fit the character.
