The film looks great, the picture quality looked great, it moved nicely. Some shots were a little soft. Sound design was subtle and similar to the first movie with some nice surround touches. Great bass here and there. The music was awesome. Different from the first movie. The theme of the girls being on the road was really cool but it was let down by the dialogue which was quite pretentious and obvious. It basically copies the first movie but in a new setting. Extended music video style sequences were fantastic. I actually really enjoyed this movie. Beautiful girls, dark theme, American road movie, stunning setting. If you ignore the fact it is a sequel and ignore the creative faults this is excellent. I didn't like the main guy - he pouted too much. It is not a patch on the first movie and would have never existed without it but it's surprisingly fairly engaging and entertaining.

Filme desprezível, sem sal, com péssimas atuações, roteiro sem pé e nem cabeça e com uma qualidade de baixíssimo nível, resumindo, não percam seu tempo. Além de que, ele "continua" a história de Donnie Darko da forma mais preguiçosa e sem criatividade possível, trazendo "flashbacks" do filme passado e tentando linkar de forma preguiçosa os dois filmes, da forma muito conhecida como: "Aquele palito estava ali e só você não viu", claramente um filme que não faz jus ao primeiro e só usa o subtítulo de "Continuação do primeiro" para lucrar em cima. Um lixo!

Watched this right after Donnie Darko and it's not much of a sequel. The baby sister is now 17 and running away with a girlfriend. They have gory adventures going back in time to make better choices.

In this film you do not understand anything, but not in a positive sense such as that it is a film to be interpreted but you do not understand anything because the plot makes no sense as it is a badly copied plot of the previous film. In general the film is boring and shooting and tries to ride the fame of Donnie Darko but fails because you understand from the first ten minutes that this film can not even think of aspiring to Donnie.
