Scott B @RT89311556 2d "Set It Up" succeeds because of the irresistible chemistry between Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell. Their charm is more a result of witty dialog, "insider" moments and penetrating looks at one another rather than any physical intimacy. This makes it more powerful. See more robert s @Robsem Feb 17 I tuned in to watch what I thought was going to be a funny romcom, but what I got was a boring extremely unfunny movie. While the two leads are attractive, the secondary characters are downright mean, you'll know what I mean if you watch this, and uninteresting. It seems they were looking to pull off Devil Loves Prada characters but instead gave us characters you tended to just hate the whole movie. It is slightly better than a mediocre Hallmark Movie, but not by much. Taye Diggs and Lucy Lui are terrific actors, as we know. They are beautiful enough to be the leads too, but they are the supporting actors to Glen Powell and Zoey Deutch. The younger couple, though not bad, do not have the screen presence of the older ones. So, every time Lui and Diggs are not in the shot, we can't help but wonder where they are or what they're doing.
