Audience Member This is a one of a kind film. Terry Hogan leads a solid cast and the writing is nothing short of phenomenal. Hogan is particularly effective in the film, bringing his fire-proof confidence and maximum strength to the table. A true leading man. The story is brutal, a timeless tale of love, betrayal, honor, and gymnastics teams being held in dungeons at gun point by ruthless criminals. Speaking of criminals the villains really add a great amount of emotion to the overall tone of this, dare I say, unknown masterpiece. In particular it is the character of Franker, a rough n tumble Australian killer that is paramount to the plot and makes you question your own morality. Who is really the bad guy? Is it me? Franker is the movies best character and deserves a spin-off. Watch this movie! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Hogans hair is amazing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Made for cable actioner that if made @ least 10 years earlier could have seen the light of a theater run. Sure Hulk Hogan can't act worth a shit but there is a lot more going for Assault on Devil's Island that makes you forgiving. Even his utterly shitty performance does have bad movie charms & this movie has bad movie charms in spades. A decent supporting cast here w/ Billy Drago as the heavy giving a little bit more then say Delta Force 2 that I saw him in recently. Martin Kove adds to the fun. Shannon Tweed is fucking sexy & you even get to see her sugar boobies. Goddamn Gene Simmons is a lucky man. Billy Blanks is pretty expendable but does have a decent fight w/ Hogan. The real meat here is Carl Weathers who is badass & I cheered whenever he brought out the heavy artillery. It's all so bad it's good making it better then what TV deserved for the time. @ least Ted Turner's money was being put to good use Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The other one in this series is great camp, This one just sucks chunks. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Quality show, some hilariously bad acting, storyline and script but leaves you wanting more! Hogan and Carl weathers can't beat that ultimate carry out film! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
