Christina Newland iNews.co.uk A student sugar baby bumps into her only client - and his wife - at a shiva in this comically uncomfortable film. Rated: 4/5 Sep 23, 2024 Full Review Lisa Mullen Sight & Sound An exhilarating and compassionate film about love, death, loneliness - and the life-affirming importance ofdessert. Dec 3, 2021 Full Review Melissa Kravitz Hoeffner Autostraddle The choices Danielle makes and the things she says are cringeworthy in the best way. Dec 3, 2021 Full Review Zach Youngs InSession Film It's deliciously timed and superbly written in a way that whips you around from one secret to the next, from one reveal to the next. Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Sarah Vincent Sarah G Vincent Views “Shiva Baby” has a setup that sounds like a sitcom, but it is more like a horror movie without anyone getting physically violent. If you suffer from secondhand embarrassment, you should probably steer clear. Jake P sharp and hilarious movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review Richard M J I thought the film did an excellent job of creating within me a sense of going nuts growing up in that family So many mixed messages. Total lack of boundaries. So much about appearance! It was not a comfortable film to experience. It was an easy film for someone to walk out of an dismiss - as "I hated that." I think that's the point of the film Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/26/21 Full Review Ross powerful dark comedy. Highly relatable, anxiety-inducing, important film about a young woman, struggling with career goals and sexual identity, along with her family's constant interrogation of her personal dating life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/21/21 Full Review Alan Writing and acting are spectacular. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/30/21 Full Review Lisa Great acting, moments of genius and thoroughly toe-curlingly awkward. Just as billed! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/17/21 Full Review Mike S Very good dark comedy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/02/21 Full Review Read all reviews
