They don’t have a chance when held to what other horror films of the time were doing. The plot is a bad take off of the original [i]Dracula[/i] plot with a vampiric nobleman seducing a young woman and all that. The problem is that, unlike the original story, the people of this area has already chased this vampire off once before and they believe in vampires. Yet the nobleman vampire’s arrival is shrugged off, some how none of the superstitious locals recognize him, even after “sinister” things start happening. The music score is average and does little more than show up in this movie. The acting isn’t terrible, and it manages to stay above the ham and cheese level.
