Russell Crowe in forma, capitano di un cast di tutto rispetto in grado di far scorrere piacevolmente tutti i dialoghi e di spezzare con successo le sequenze di azione, che invece risultano più artificiali. Alcuni personaggi purtroppo non sono approfonditi abbastanza e vengono sfruttati solo per lo scopo; ciò nonostante riescono a ritagliarsi quasi tutti il loro momento di protagonismo. Il finale, pur non così a sorpresa, è gradevole ed intrigante. Forse la sparatoria in stile "stallo alla messicana" è un po' riduttiva vista la complessità dell'indagine e della trama. Great acting by the whole cast and Crowe's performance seemed effortless and pefect. Vivid sound effects. Excellent visuals and great color tone constantly representing the cold dark mind of the Roy.
