Sleeping Dogs is not too bad a thriller, not least due to a committed performance from Russell Crowe. You need to be patient as the story slowly unfolds to an ending you may or may not see coming.

My complaint is not with Crowe. He's excellent, and the supporting cast first rate. Perhaps I wasn't paying attention sufficiently, but I found the plot confusing. Even when the main mystery is solved in the end, I still wasn't sure about the peripheral ins and outs. And it wasn't so compelling that I would watch it again to "figure it out."
