Vazha P The song by Per Gessle, "I Have A Party In My Head (I Hope It Never Ends)," which opens and ends the movie, triggered a random memory from my happy childhood with as much meaning as the movie itself. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Ellie A I was interested in watching this film because of the intriguing ensemble, but I could not make it past the first 10 minutes. Everything visually was so repulsive. I know that's the point but it was just too much. Sorry not sorry? They did an amazing job creating the setting though gotta say. Maybe will give it another go later. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/18/23 Full Review Vernon B Not worth your time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/04/23 Full Review Alex C This is one of my favorite movies. It's funny, sad and heartwarming. Matt Lucas was amazing, the rest of the cast were solid too. 5 stars. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The story was bland and had the characters used as small distractions from the fact that this movie could have been a 30 minute short. Knoxvilles character could have been omitted without any change on the ending. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member i think this only got bad reviews because people don't like johnny knoxville. he did a serviceable job in his relatively small role, and was not the main character, so if you are avoiding this because of him, i suggest you give it a chance. this is a weird movie but all around very entertaining, and can be surprisingly heartwarming as well. you will find yourself wondering what the heck is wrong with the protagonist at the beginning, but rooting for him by the end. Rated: 1/4 Feb 7, 2013 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com This tonally uneven venture plays like one extended distraction after another, depending on an odd assortment of characters that never quite feel fully realized. Aug 7, 2019 Full Review Andrew L. Urban Urban Cinefile Begins as a totally quirky novelty film with seemingly absurd, overdrawn and outrageous characters ... but ends up as an absolutely captivating, totally quirky novelty film - with heart and many surprises Sep 10, 2013 Full Review Louise Keller Urban Cinefile The brazen, colourful nature of the characters is the strength of this black comedy from Jonas kerlund - and its topline cast. There's an additional, unexpected factor that does not hit us until the very end. It has a heart Sep 10, 2013 Full Review Simon Kinnear Total Film Jonas kerlund's crass, cartoonish comedy about an oddball trying to dispose of his landlord's corpse.
