steve d 01/09/2023 Engaging western with good performances. See more 06/04/2020 Great family movie about a man's love for a wild horse, his kindness earns the horses trust and devotion. Burl Ives singing is wonderful. Lots of action, great acting, and good story with valuable lessons to be learned about people and animals. Suitable for all ages. See more 02/23/2020 It is probably most notable for being the first film appearance of Burl Ives. I enjoyed seeing him perform a couple of songs on screen, but there wasn't much to the rest of the film if I am being honest even as much as I like Fred MacMurray. (First and only viewing - February 2020) See more 10/03/2013 one of the best human-horse stories I've seen. See more 09/13/2013 130913: I like horse movies normally but this one is pretty...lame. Narrarated through-out, like it's a book being read. Has a couple quaint moments but just isn't that impactful. Also, not really a western in my books due to taking place in the 30s. You're not going to see any gunfighting action here. See more 11/14/2011 loved it, I want on DVD, I actually enjoyed this movie, it was better than what I thought, I thought it was a great film, I loved it, it was directed by Louis King, it was a great westen See more Read all reviews
