hardy c Occasionally you run in to a film that is so egregiously awful, stupid, vapid and absurd that your brain requires some time to recover. I cannot say that this movie fulfills that criteria of badness, because after about twenty minutes I was unable to continue watching it. But I am pretty certain I would now be seeking psychiatric care if I had lasted the entire abortion-of-cinema. And to think Rhames, Cromwell and Slater once had careers. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/23 Full Review Steve W Probably one of the worst acting , plot , etc.. For having some seasoned actors in it , the acting was HORRIBLE! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/09/22 Full Review Tammy I enjoyed the movie untill the end. Christian Slater put on an extraordinary performance, but he took the mission to save his partner's house and then his friend died. Well what about his friends wife and cute lil daughter? Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/27/22 Full Review Audience Member Horrible dialogue, ridiculous scenarios, good actors must have either not read the script or owed someone a large, expensive favor Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A solid action film with good acting from the cast, and a cool story and concept behind it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Horrible, cringey movie. Couldn't tell if was a comedy or serious film. Don't waste your time. Robert Abele Los Angeles Times Korostyshevsky doesn't waste a lot of time getting from run-jump-shoot to duck-roll-cover and back again; the artillery decibel level isn't matched by any notable level of filmmaking craft or excitement. Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 6, 2012 Full Review Andy Webster New York Times For the cast, shooting the movie (in Ukraine) may have been a working vacation, but for viewers, watching it is an excruciating sentence of hard labor. Rated: 0/5 Aug 5, 2012 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter A talented cast is wasted in this sub-par, umpteenth variation on The Dirty Dozen. Aug 3, 2012 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Combustible Celluloid Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 22, 2013 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Soldiers of Fortune has a good cast, and most of them try their best, but you have to wonder why any of them actually signed on for this lopsided movie. Rated: 1/5 Aug 22, 2012 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews Soldiers of Fortune is...hardly the fun throwback to the action films of the 1980s that one might've hoped for...
