      Critics Consensus

Overly frantic, painfully unfunny, and sorely missing the presence of Jim Carrey.

Theusx g Que filme Ruim. Não é engraçado nem divertido como o primeiro. O roteiro esquisito e mal produzido. Eu não recomendo assistir esse filme. Assistam o primeiro filme o que é melhor. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review John R Son of the mask? more like, son of the bad lmao 😎😎😎😎😎 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/24 Full Review TWMax65 I feel like the level of cartoon ridiculousness and bad CGI in this movie isn't that much worse than the first movie (which was much more original and funny) however, Jimmy Carrey should've been the father. I think that would've added a lot of needed charm to the film and would've made it much better for more audience types. Instead, the actors and acting were much worse and I feel strongly that this movie is meant for kids 10 and under. If you're older than 10 and watch this movie, you will likely lose brain cells like I did giving it the time of day. Not something I would watch again but no one can say it's not at least a little entertaining for what it is/trying to be! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/24 Full Review Teddy B A fantastically effective horror film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/24 Full Review BRENDEN J Son of the Mask was not a good movie like the original was. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/04/24 Full Review Timothy D Son of the Mask desperately attempts to revamp the playful energy of the original film, but misses the mark. Its comedy is stale, and its attempt at a family story is uneven and clichéd. On the bright side, the movie moves fast enough to watch all the way through.
