Rex Reed Observer Devoid of suspense and purpose, Spinning Man doesn't spin. It doesn't even move. Another case of the right actors in the wrong picture. Rated: 2/4 Apr 6, 2018 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Of the many interchangeable, name-lead thrillers and action pictures concurrently premiering these days in theatres and on VOD, this one's definitely a cut above. Apr 5, 2018 Full Review Jennifer Szalai New York Times Can a movie devoid of thrills be called a thriller? Apr 5, 2018 Full Review Jacob Knight Birth.Movies.Death. It moves along at a steady clip, and Brosnan, Pearce, and Driver are actively engaged with the heady approach to telling an otherwise recognizable murder mystery. Apr 10, 2018 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media This little thriller, part lurid potboiler and part philosophical quandary, plays like a sturdy "B" movie; it won't change the world, but it might keep late-night viewers from changing channels. Rated: 3/5 Apr 7, 2018 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue It stumbles in the third act by indulging in too many incoherent twists and false endings, becoming detached from reality in the process. nick s Well acted and good production value. The story seemed to fray at the end though. It was as if the director didn't know which ending would surprise the audience so tried all of them. I also found the lighting choices a bit strange. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/30/24 Full Review Regina P For some reason, while I was watching, I thought I had already seen this film once upon a time. I probably have and completely forgot it. Just being a suspect can ruin your life. I didn't think this was bad. I don't know if it was ever in theaters, but it seems better suited for the streaming age, anyhow. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Jelisije J A movie that is extremely nail bitting when a young girl goes missing and college professor with a nice family is the suspect in the disappearance...if you want to know if he did it, then so does the suspect himself...... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/19/23 Full Review Joan L I had a hard time understanding this entire movie, and God knows what happened at the end…who knows? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/23/23 Full Review Steve C A film featuring someone who is so confused that even the movie itself is confused. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/29/23 Full Review Gerry The jury is still out on this one. This movie has twists and turns and the ending was a real disappointment. The actors in this movie are great. At times this movie comes to a dead stop. Although I don't believe Evan killed the teenager, I do think he has a memory issue that requires medical attention or does he? We all forget from time to time, but a murder is hard to forget. The girl is definitely running from someone or something. It is possible that she ran right off the cliff. I believe Evan is guilty of extra marital affairs and his wife knew it. That is why they left Evanston. All the more reason the letter addressed to Evan should have been opened. Very disappointed on the lead detective's assumption at the end. The man is confessing what he may remember and it is all dismissed and Evan's reaction is not a happy one. Who ever watches The Spinning Man needs to be their own judge and jury!!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
