Robert Abele Los Angeles Times Before you can say "Judd Apatow" we're whisked away into a movie Never-Ever-land of yeah-right romance for going-nowhere guys. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 3, 2011 Full Review Brent Simon Shared Darkness Spooner unfolds in an alternate, fantasy reality where girls swoon over de-masculinized awkwardness, and its makers additionally assume this is will automatically tickle an audience pink. Audience Member The two critics here are off the mark. Spooner is a delightful and sensitive film with some very funny moments thanks to the supporting cast. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Very cliched but I found it had a few good moments. Christopher McDonald seems to play the same role in every movie I have seen him in. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member This quirky indie rom-com is poorly cast, poorly directed, and poorly executed all around. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member 72% I liked seeing Lillard and McDonald play father and son again. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member did care 4 this which just loves 2 revel in it's own quirkiness Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Matthew Lillard performance as as a goofy nerd going nowhere is spot on.
