Audience Member It's "Survivor: Upper Wisconsin," set in the '70's. The main actor is paired up with several other Christians strangers on what is basically a 3rd class retreat. It is scary in a way how similar this movie is when compared to the "Survivor" series. The group sloshes through marshes, eats berries, finds a hidden trove of toiletries, rapels off a cliff and eventually all members of the group are sent off individually to "Exile Island" (along a secluded patch of the Great Lakes) to do a couple of days of soul searching. It is hard to like the take-charge main character Trevor. He is bitter, conceited, judgemental and in some cases downright cruel. The lead guide, a sort of Jeff Probstlike character, is gentle natured, and manages to keep himself restrained during the main character's tyrades, but you can tell he just wants to throw Trevor into the rapids. Most of the other adventurers don't get a lot of dialogue in this movie, with the exception of the blonde and the loner. The dialogue is cheesy, and so is the music, even for this era. Christian music pioneer Honeytree added a single to this movie, which was ok. I still give it a good review just for the concept: There's no way nowadays that average Joes can do these types of activities in America, not without serious forms & waivers.
