Leslie Felperin Guardian Tedious stretches of vulgar banter are interspersed with equally dull interludes during which people melt. Then it finally gets resolved after 85 very long minutes. Rated: 2/5 Jan 7, 2025 Full Review Joel Harley Starburst The show-stopping practical effects remain faithful to the spirit of the original film – even if its more unsavoury flavours may have been diluted with a surprising shot of sweetness. Rated: 4/5 Dec 26, 2024 Full Review Michael Talbot-Haynes Film Threat Has all the subversive vibrations from the original throbbing like neon. Sit back and get ready to melt into your chair. Rated: 8/10 Dec 10, 2024 Full Review Daniel Gorman In Review Online Street Trash is a goofy, gloopy movie that has more to legitimately say about how we live now than any number of "socially relevant" prestige Oscar-bait dramas that dominate theaters this time of year. Nov 25, 2024 Full Review Matt Donato Daily Dead It's a cacophony of fever-dream nonsense that comes together without reason … a little bit of everything with an unfortunate outcome. Rated: 2/5 Nov 21, 2024 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com The update doesn’t match the ’87 endeavor, as Kruger struggles with uneven tone and weak humor throughout the offering, which only really comes alive when destroying bodies. Martijn t It's like Robocop meets early Peter Jackson, but bad. The jokes are either lame or annoying and the gas chamber part is completely the wrong kind of tasteless. The gore parts are very good the first two or three times, but then get repetitive (I know it's the same toxic gas, but it's not like anybody cares with this kind of movie that it works consistently.) I did like the song over the end credits. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/25 Full Review Jeepers C A fun, oozy movie to watch with your friends. Loved it. Anyone who liked the original. should like this one. It's exactly what I expected going into this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/25 Full Review Tom T Outside of some general conceptual undertones there's not much similarity to the original. Always a fan of a film that leans into practical effects like they did here. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/08/25 Full Review David U The Viper Is Back Baby! Melt down madness to the core. The movie is shot brilliantly from A cinematic perspective On 35mm technoscope, which just shows how much love and respect Ryan Kruger has for the 80's and this movie in General. What an ode to A timenof body melt horror and splatter fests of past times! The effects are stunning, the meltdowns were done extremely well. Gashing, glorious colors and glop! The characters are developed well with A raunchy sense of humor, the writing was quite briliant for those who get it. The dregs of society have so much heart it will leave you rooting for the underdogs of thos tasteful tale! (Mhmm viper never tasted so good!) Sockle was A breathe of fresh air, who would chime in at the most unsettling of times. The Mayor Was cast perfectly, you love to hate him and can't wait til he gets A taste of the Tenefly! At times it kind of gives shades of hobo with A shot gun vibes, mixed with they live ya' know us vs. Them rising up against the rich! The film it self is absolutely Gorgeous, the plot is great, I honestly don't know what more that you could want out of A Street Trash movie in 2024, it has plenty of easter eggs and odes to the original. To be quite honest the original wasn't that great, as well as alot of 80's movies that horror fans seem to dick ride til' no end. This was A refreshing look on A rather stale genre (body melt horror, splatter) Things are looking bright for the future of Ryan Kruger and his crew, looking to see much more from him as A writer and director. Overall 10/10. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/05/24 Full Review Sebastian R Right !! Spielberg, Nolan, Villanueva- pack your bags and do one ! im absolutely certain this bad boy's going to sweep the board at next oscars.. .. ( Rotten tomatoes: please stop removing audience reviews on here) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/25/24 Full Review Chris D Forced comedy that gets old pretty quickly and decends into a messy action movie, the original movie was just about filthy people living in a scrap yard, the viper wine was more of a side plot Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/20/24 Full Review Read all reviews
