Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News There's a raw and honest intimacy that's heartbreaking to behold and unique. The two leads are fantastic. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 16, 2021 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) A fairly obvious but otherwise effective light drama. Jun 16, 2021 Full Review Thelma Adams AARP Movies for Grownups With a light touch and charm to burn, Sublet gently builds to the point where both men experience a deep emotional shift -- and, together, achieve that wonderful exhortation from E. M. Forster's Howards End: "Only connect." Rated: 4/5 Jun 14, 2021 Full Review Serena Seghedoni Loud and Clear Reviews Clever, ironic and overwhelmingly human, Sublet shows us what happens when we're taken out of our comfort zone, and teaches us a valuable lesson in love. Rated: 5/5 Oct 22, 2023 Full Review Mo Muzammal Vague Visages The watchability of Fox’s film emanates from the connection between its two leads. Jul 27, 2023 Full Review Michael Cuby them. The film is pleasantly languid in its unhurried exploration of intergenerational connection and how the shortest-lived relationships can be the most profound. uncledonnienyc Beautifully directed a small story acted wonderfully Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/03/21 Full Review constance m first rate on all levels- and loved seeing a beautiful city on the sea shore..... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/21 Full Review Stevon Its a story about different generational relationships for the most part. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/22/21 Full Review Wendy H Intrepid travel story. Much to think and talk about. Great scenes of Tel Aviv Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/21/21 Full Review Shock Therapy R The two protagonists sublet each other's head space, and emotional landscape, and generation, and intellect, and vulnerabilities, and bodies. This really was a beautiful movie and both characters, as well as I, the viewer, departed this experience feeling as though my life was better, or could be better, as a result. This genre of evocative, albeit vicarious, exchange is deeply moving and transformative. It doesn't take the beaches of Tel Aviv to accomplish (though it surely was appealing), but it does take an openness and a willingness to genuinely share. I loved it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review micah b This movie caught me by surprise. I had not heard of this movie before and decided to watch it based on the Critic's Reviews. It's charming, sweet and very heartfelt. Great acting too! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
