Roberto M The House of Petunias is in full bloom! A beautifully crafted movie that catches the true spirit of Il Posto Accanto: a home for everyone who loves amazing and authentic food and wants to be surrounded by like-minded people; people that say “fuxk social medias!”, let’s have face to face conversations with other wonderful human beings. The acting by the pros and not feels genuine and old school NYC. For those who are lucky enough to go to il Posto regularly, this is something to cherish, a piece of our heart; for those who have not been yet, you will be ready to book your ticket to NYC! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/11/25 Full Review Frank S A very special movie of a very special place that stepped up during the pandemic. I’l Posto is my home in NY and every time I visit I share my meals with all the characters that have become family. The filmmakers really captured the spirit of I’l Posto. Bravo to Beatrice and Julio for sharing their passion. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/11/25 Full Review Kacy D ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ Sunday at Il Posto Accanto is pure heart. It’s soulful, funny, and deeply human. A love letter to community, resilience, and connection. The cast brings such truth and tenderness that you feel like you’re sitting right there at the table with them. A beautiful reminder that healing often happens over good food, laughter, and shared stories. I absolutely loved it—bravo to everyone involved! I can’t wait to have dinner there and create some memories of my own! ~Kacy Duke Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/07/25 Full Review Adam M This is the kind of movie that, lamentably, seldom gets made these days: atmospheric without being slow, deeply in tune with the rhythms of New York City, attuned to the inner lives of its characters, dramatic but still funny. Consummate New Yorker and celebrated stage actor and playwright Danny Hoch is captivating, masterful and hilarious in the lead – a reminder that he's one of the great actors of his generation, and criminally undercast in films. Victor Rasuk is equally charming, and Seth Zvi Rosenfeld's script and camera know how to to play to all their strengths. This is a special, special film that deserves a wide audience. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/06/25 Full Review sara B Sunday at Il Posto Accanto encapsulates exactly the familial and familiar of a neighborhood and it’s restaurants. New York is a village and it took a village to keep amazing small businesses open just like Bea and Julio’s incredible restaurant. The humor, the inside jokes, the locals, the actors. All part of a beautiful tribe. Well written, smartly directed! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/06/25 Full Review K W A lovely, low keyed, nicely paced day in the life of a NYCity restaurant - special cinematography, superb acting. accessible script. A delight.
