Jalen T Really Good Moive I remember watching this when I was a kid Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/09/24 Full Review Anderson O One of the low points of the DCAU, it’s just Super-man and Doomsday knocking the snot out of each other, metaphorically speaking, not much to behold or missed Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/07/24 Full Review Cask and Crow P I'll always have a spot in my heart for this movie because it was DC comics first animated movie. They change a lot from the comic book version of "Death of Superman". The basic core of the story is there but I didn't like way they went with it. My other gripe was the way Superman's cheek bones are drawn. I really don't know what they where going for there. Overall an enjoyable comic movie, but there are many better Matty Bizz - Cask and Crow podcast Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/17/24 Full Review matthias s "Superman Doomsday" is an animated film that retells one of the most iconic comic book storylines of all time. While the film offers a faithful adaptation of the source material, it falls short in terms of execution and character development. On the positive side, the animation is well done, and the action sequences are impressive. The voice acting is also top-notch, with Adam Baldwin delivering a strong performance as Superman. The film does a good job of capturing the dark and gritty tone of the original comic book storyline, and it's clear that the filmmakers had a deep respect for the source material. However, where the film falls short is in its pacing and character development. The plot moves quickly from one action sequence to the next, leaving little time for the audience to connect with the characters. As a result, the emotional impact of certain scenes is diminished. Additionally, some of the characters feel underdeveloped, particularly Lex Luthor, who is reduced to a one-dimensional villain. The film misses an opportunity to explore the complex relationship between Luthor and Superman, which is a key aspect of the original story. "Superman Doomsday" is a decent adaptation of a classic comic book storyline, but it's not without its flaws. Fans of Superman and the original comic book storyline will likely enjoy the film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Frank J An amazing superman movie that tackles the concept of "what if a hero died" and how people react to that happening. Also had an evil superman that didn't feel too cliché or forced. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/23/23 Full Review Lorenzo R Was it awful? No, but it feels like Superman's death is cheap and then the second half feels like an entirely different movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
