Nile T. @the_nerd2008 Jul 10 I genuinely liked this movie it adapts a very weird time in Superman’s history but pays off with great animation and a okay voice cast for an animated DC movie but still a good watch if your bored See more Sarah H Mar 23 pretty bad but as a one-time watch can be pretty entertaining, the story is quite good although it is brought down by the story and the fact that the character the movie is named after, doomsday, is only in the story for a short time(eventually being killed in the climax of the 1st act) See more Jalen T 10/09/2024 Really Good Moive I remember watching this when I was a kid See more Anderson O @Platinum2027 08/07/2024 One of the low points of the DCAU, it’s just Super-man and Doomsday knocking the snot out of each other, metaphorically speaking, not much to behold or missed See more Cask and Crow P 01/26/2024 I'll always have a spot in my heart for this movie because it was DC comics first animated movie. They change a lot from the comic book version of "Death of Superman". The basic core of the story is there but I didn't like way they went with it. My other gripe was the way Superman's cheek bones are drawn. I really don't know what they where going for there. Overall an enjoyable comic movie, but there are many better Matty Bizz - Cask and Crow podcast See more matthias s 11/09/2023 "Superman Doomsday" is an animated film that retells one of the most iconic comic book storylines of all time. While the film offers a faithful adaptation of the source material, it falls short in terms of execution and character development. On the positive side, the animation is well done, and the action sequences are impressive. The voice acting is also top-notch, with Adam Baldwin delivering a strong performance as Superman. The film does a good job of capturing the dark and gritty tone of the original comic book storyline, and it's clear that the filmmakers had a deep respect for the source material. However, where the film falls short is in its pacing and character development. The plot moves quickly from one action sequence to the next, leaving little time for the audience to connect with the characters. As a result, the emotional impact of certain scenes is diminished. Additionally, some of the characters feel underdeveloped, particularly Lex Luthor, who is reduced to a one-dimensional villain. The film misses an opportunity to explore the complex relationship between Luthor and Superman, which is a key aspect of the original story. "Superman Doomsday" is a decent adaptation of a classic comic book storyline, but it's not without its flaws. Fans of Superman and the original comic book storyline will likely enjoy the film.
